While my wife finishes watching Oprah Winfrey on TiVo, I'm "watching" the game on MLB.com Gameday.
Glavine starts off the game by striking out Brady Clark, getting JJ Hardy to fly out to center, and striking out Geoff Jenkins on three pitches...
...
We've got a pitcher's duel going early on. Capuano retires the first three Mets in the bottom of the first...

For "watching" games on the internet, ESPN's GameCast is more visually appealing than MLB.com's Gameday but MLB.com seems to give more info on one page. ESPN has the unique feature of photos of the ongoing game. Another option is Yahoo's GameChannel... Hey I gotta be honest here. I'm trying to compare and contrast the three options but they are all essentially the same... They're all pretty good if you can't get to a TV or radio for the broadcast, or you're a transplanted Mets fan with internet access and don't want to shell out the 15 clams for MLB radio...
Mets are up 1-0, thanks to a solo shot by the X-Man.

Glavine was excellent tonight, and the Mets put up four runs for him, but Heilman put the win in jeopardy. He was unable to retire a batter in the seventh. Two runs were charged to him, one of which scored on a sacrifice fly given up by Sanchez, but heading to the bottom of the seventh it's still 4-3 Mets.

I love Keith Hernandez's work as a color man, but tonight Ron Darling filled in and it was a nice change of pace. He brings a pitcher's perspective to the broadcast, and does a nice job at it. Ralph Kiner also showed up for a few innings, and it's amazing how sharp and astute he still is. Maybe more than he was in his prime!

Except for a monster foul shot by Carlos Lee, Billy Wagner looked sharp closing it out. Mets Win 4-3, Tommy G gets the win. He deserved it, striking out 11 Brewers over 6 innings. Mets win their seventh straight to go 8-1 on the season. Trachsel vs Ohka tomorrow at 1:10. Lets Go Mets!
