Wrinkle Free Armpits!

The Internet is a beautiful thing. Been listening to the WFAN broadcast of the Mets game on MLB.com. I had read and heard from friends in New York that Tom McCarthy sounded exactly like Gary Cohen on the radio. I'm not sure about that, but McCarthy does a nice job with the games. It's been fun listening to Eddie C and him do the game today. With a day game on Thursday, I'll be listening at work that day as well.

The one downfall is having to hear this BoTox commercial over and over again. They are advertising BoTox injections, well known for making women's foreheads smooth as ironing boards, for use in controlling excessive underarm sweating. Left unsaid is the added benefit of wrinkle-free armpits. Yay!!

Oh yeah, Bannister pitched great, and the Mets' hitters continue to slug the ball around the ballpark. 5-1 Mets, heading into the 9th.

...

Beltran socked a homer in the 9th to make it 7-1. Sandman comes into the game in the bottom of the inning to try and close it out. If the Mets continue this offensive output, it will be tough for Wagner to add to his save total!

...

Wagner walked two in the inning, and Soriano steps up to the plate with two on and two outs. Wagner walks Soriano to load the bases with two outs. Future Hall Of Famer Ryan Zimmerman steps up to the plate...

Wagner stikes the kid out to preserve Brian Bannister's first major-league win. Mets Win, 7-1.

Meanwhile, I'm off to D.C. first thing in the morning to catch these guys live! I probably won't be able to post until Thursday. Lets Go Mets!
